Program Description

The demand for fire alarms, burglar alarms, card access and closed-circuit television have always been high, therefore, the demand for electricians that specialize in that field is also high. With advancing technologies, there's always a new innovation in security ready to be installed and programmed. Students in our Electrician Low Voltage Fire/Security Program participate in hands-on training with advanced equipment, techniques and programming to prepare for careers as alarm-system installers and service technicians. This program is approved as a Limited Energy (06) specialty electrical training program in the state of Washington, and graduates of the program can be credited with 1,815 hours of work experience upon applying to become a Limited Energy (06) specialty electrician. If you enjoy working with electronics and have a passion for safety and security, this may be the program and career path for you.
