With top-notch instructors who are hired based on their expertise, you will focus on topics intended to successfully prepare you to pass the Firefighter I and II certification exam and the Pennsylvania Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certificate exam.

Our program is offered weekdays from 7:30 a.m.-4:45 p.m. and can be completed in eight or 14 weeks. The eight-week program does not include the emergency medical technician portion.

We operate under a semi-military environment with strict guidelines established for a cadet’s behavior, attitude and interaction. Cadets are required to assume in-class leadership roles during the academy. Cadets are exposed to daily and weekly academic testing, physical exercise and development.

Our classes are designed to prepare you to:

Obtain course completions of: National Incident Management System (NIMS 700, 100 and 200)

If you graduated from an auto-mechanics program at a career and technical school or have substantial work experience, you may receive up to nine credits toward your certificate. You must submit proper documentation to receive these credits.

Complete the Pennsylvania State Emissions Inspector and the Safety Inspection License exams

Our Graphic and Interactive Design program is selective.

This is a Selective Admission program. If you are interested in this program, you must place into the MATH 022 level, as determined by the College's Placement and Testing program. Entry into the advanced courses that are required to complete this program requires that you complete the foundation (ART 105, 121, 125 and 176) and Graphic Design (ART 109, 130, 143 and 144) courses, as well as submit a portfolio for review. Entry into the advanced courses requires successful completion of the portfolio review and does not guaranteed your enrollment into the Graphic and Interactive Design AAS program as your desired major. You should consult with you Academic Advisor for more information about enrolling into the advanced courses and entrance requirements.
