David Plouffe started off his aviation career in the military, like many National Aviation Academy (NAA) alumni. After giving community college a try and working odd jobs, David realized that he wanted to get back into aviation, starting with earning his Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) licenses at NAA in 2017.

During his time at NAA, various instructors left an impression on him. He still remembers their teachings while on the job years later! Through pure coincidence, David found out about JBI Helicopter Services in Pembroke, New Hampshire.

Since joining JBI, David has climbed the ranks to chief mechanic. While helicopters may not be the first choice for many aviation maintenance technicians, David found that a passion for complex machines is what drove his desire to find a workplace where he could work on helicopters.

JBI Helicopter Services has been providing reliable, safe, professional services to customers in the Northeast and throughout the country since 1983. Besides their own fleet, they maintain, service, and staff other privately owned aircraft.
