

The program prepares graduates for the written test and oral examination which are required for Minnesota state licensure. The 28-credit Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certificate is completed as part of the Alcohol and Drug Counseling Studies Associate of Science degree. Completion of the certificate allows the student to practice under a temporary ADC licensure en route to earning a bachelor’s degree within five years. (NOTE: the written test and case review must be satisfied as defined by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy).
