Students also gain an understanding of basic medical terminology, basic human anatomy and physiology and the aging process.

Nearly 80 percent of the all products sold in the U.S. are transported via truck at some point, creating a constant demand for safe and qualified drivers.
FVCC offers five courses in commercial driver’s license training. Courses involve electronic simulator and real behind-the-wheel driving experience, as well as classroom lecture. Students gain knowledge about federal and state regulations, safety procedures, hazardous materials, bill of lading, trip report procedures, loading and securing, and air brake systems.

Through a combination of hands-on training and classroom lecture, this program prepares students to operate heavy equipment and drive commercial trucks weighing more than 26,000 pounds to standards set by the National Center for Construction Education Research and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
FVCC’s Heavy Equipment Operator program provideds students with instruction and “hands-on” operation experience on bulldozers, backhoes, track excavators, wheel loaders, Skidsteers, motor graders, rollers, tractors, water tankers, dump trucks and equipment transports. Students also learn to interpret construction grade stakes and become familiar with safety procedures and equipment maintenance. Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training and testing are an integral part of this program.

At The Culinary Institute of Montana, students have the advantage of working in a new, cutting-edge instructional kitchen. The 3,224-square-foot facility houses modern, innovative supplies and pieces of equipment including a Cryovac® machine used for vacuum packing full meals which can be cooked via sous-vide, an Alto-Shamm for slow cooking meats to retain flavor and moisture, a pizza oven, proof box, blast freezer, a mixer for each student’s use and liquid nitrogen for freezing ice cream. Our small class sizes allow plenty of space and time for students to work with this advanced equipment, giving them an edge in the industry.
