Program Description

Tool and die makers produce the tools, dies and special guiding and holding devices used for mass production in metalworking industries. You’ll learn to use computer numerical control (CNC) and computer-aided design (CAD) technology to design and manufacture these products. Other skills you’ll gain include blueprint reading, machine techniques and welding. This program requires you to first be employed and involves five years of on-the-job training and classroom instruction.
