The Hill College Industrial Maintenance Program responds to this critical need with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Industrial Maintenance and various short-term certificates which lead to this degree. Because workers in this field must be cross trained in many areas of skilled labor, courses provide training in the areas of electrical, manufacturing, maintenance, machining and welding.
Students who complete an AAS in Industrial Maintenance will also receive certificates of completion in Basic Machinist and Basic Electrical Skills, as well as certificates in Industrial Maintenance.

This program is designed to provide students with both the academic content and the practical work experience for the care and education of young children. In addition, criteria developed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has been incorporated in course content throughout the program.

A billing & coding specialist is also known as the Reimbursement Specialist, Coding Specialist, or health information technologists and are accountable for sustaining and correctly reporting all patient data. Students are also prepared for the state certification exam for certified nurse aide offered by Texas Health and Human Services Department, www.pearsonvue.com/tx/nurseaides. The program consists of 72 hours of lecture, and 40 hours of clinical activity in a long-term care facility. Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared for entry-level employment in long-term care facilities, doctor’s offices and hospitals. The clinical hours are included in the cost of the program. CPR for Healthcare Providers is required.

Students will learn to prepare prescription orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, perform applicable pharmacy calculations, and comply with federal and state regulatory agency laws and regulations. Upon completion of this program students will be able to perform all the duties required in any pharmacy practice setting. Students are also prepared to take the certification exam offered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The program consists of 208 hours of ONLINE lecture/lab.

This program is an in-depth study of phlebotomy and the related skills required by the phlebotomist to function in the healthcare setting. Students will complete 120 hours of course and clinical work in order to prepare for the certification exam through the National Health Career Association (NHA) or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). This program consists of 72 hours of lecture and 48 hours of clinical activities in a hospital and lab environment.
