goals who wish early employment. To qualify for the Certificate, a student must satisfy the following
requirements: (1) complete all courses listed for a particular certificate; (2) achieve a “C” average (2.0
GPA) for all courses used to complete the certicate; and, (3) le a Certicate Application form with
Admissions and Records by the appropriate deadline(s) identied on the application.
Associate in Science (AS) Degree involves satisfactory completion
of a minimum of 60 semester units with a C average or higher, including grades of C in all courses

offices and clinics. Students who complete the certificate in medical assistant will have the knowledge which will allow
them to comprehend and communicate with medical professionals effectively and may provide enhanced employment

The Vocational Nursing Program is designed to provide the education necessary for licensure
eligibility and practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (L.V.N.). Acceptance into the program requires
successful completion of all prerequisites and successful completion of the application and selection
processes.

solutions, counting medications, and administrative duties such as answering the phone, stocking shelves, or operating a cash
register. Career roles may be in a retail or mail-order pharmacy; a hospital or nursing home; and an assisted living facility or
penal system.
