Our Early Care and Education for Young Children with Disabilities program prepares you to begin working in the growing profession of early intervention and early childhood special education. You will learn how to improve learning outcomes and promote optimal development of young children who have or are at risk for developmental delays or disabilities. Our program provides learning opportunities that emphasize best practices in supporting children’s access and participation in inclusive settings and natural learning environments.

Our Early Childhood Education program prepares you to be an active researcher of children and how they learn. You will learn how to support families as each child’s first educator, make connections between theory and practice, and discover that our profession is the ‘backbone’ of our workforce.

If you are interested in a career that meets a Lead Teacher requirement, as outlined in New Hampshire’s Child Care Program Licensing Rules, then this certificate is the place to start. You will take 6 courses that will provide you with a solid foundation to work with young children and their families. As a student, accepted into this certificate, you will be eligible for financial aid. In addition, if you are currently working at least 20 hours/week in the early childhood field, you may be eligible for the Early Childhood Education Scholarship Program (see below) available through a partnership with Granite State College and the Division of Children Youth & Families, Department of Health and Human Resources. 

This nine-credit certificate qualifies a student to enter the workforce as an associate teacher. The courses in the Early Childhood Education Entry Level Certificate meet the education requirements for the State of NH Child Care Licensing Rules for an Associate Teacher in many child care settings. This program, along with the Early Childhood Education Associate Degree and Advanced Certificate, and Certificate Programs, is also available 100% online. Although this program is not financial aid eligible students have the opportunity to apply for the Early Childhood Education Scholarship Program to help cover the cost of their tuition.

The Certificate in Education is designedfor you if you are planning to: work with learners, or if you are already working in a school under an alternative certifcate path to receive a teaching license. Classes are offered day,evening, or online. These courses can transfer to an Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, or to a teacher certification certificate/license. This certificate in is stackable into the education degree program.

This program provides an interdisciplinary approach to studying social, ethical and ecological interactions between the natural world and society. All students begin with introductory classes in biology, math, English, chemistry, economics and philosophy (ethics), which provide the basic skills and knowledge required to address environmental problems.

The Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies, approved by the American Bar Association, will prepare students to perform effectively in today’s legal and business communities. This program is an expanded version of the Certificate Program. Both programs are approved by the American Bar Association. The Degree trains students for professional status as lawyers’ assistants in banks, corporations, government agencies, insurance companies, and law firms. The program provides students with a broad-based academic curriculum, which emphasizes the skills, substantive knowledge and ethics a paralegal needs to assist lawyers effectively. Graduates may either enter the work force directly after graduation or continue their education at a four-year institution.

The Paramedic Emergency Medicine Associate Degree program combines medical courses, general education requirements, and specialty certifications. Graduates have a 100% pass-rate for NREMT written and practical exams as well as 100% job placement.

The Architectural Engineering Technology (ARET) program combines architecture and engineering theory with applied hands-on activities in NHTI’s well equipped labs. You will study architectural design and engineering processes of a variety of building types and develop skills in design, sketching, engineering, and computer aided design and visualization. This 18-credit-hour certificate program is designed to prepare you for CAD operator’s position in the fields of architecture and engineering. Upon successful conclusion of the CAD certificate program, you will be able to effectively create 2D as well as 3D drawings in CAD, and to model and visualize 3D objects for project presentations.

The Civil Engineering Technology (CVET) program combines civil engineering and technology theory with a solid foundation in mathematics and science in preparing its graduates for an array of exciting and rewarding jobs. You will learn about the fundamentals of civil engineering technology, teamwork, and presentations through hands-on activities in NHTI’s well equipped labs. You will solve design and engineering problems by utilizing skills learnt in all CVET program’s required courses. The Automation Certificate is designed to prepare new, potential and current employees for employment in the field of advanced manufacturing. Students master fundamentals by taking courses in engineering design, controls, computer programming, and robotics and automation.

Students master engineering fundamentals by taking courses in engineering design, manufacturing processes, computer programming, circuit theory, and digital electronics. Emphasis is also placed on the study of mathematics and physical science while English and social science courses broaden and improve the student’s communication skills.

As a student in the ABET accredited Electronic Engineering Technology program (EET), you will learn a combination of engineering theory and hand’s on skills using stat-of-the-art lab equipment. Class and lab size are kept small giving you ample opportunity to interact with your instructors. The majority of your program courses will be taught by full-time faculty with advanced degrees as well as significant and relevant industry experience. 

This Certificate Program is designed to accommodate people with technical backgrounds who are interested in learning electronics, e.g., those with liberal arts-based computer science degrees working in areas of software where basic electronics knowledge is needed. The credits you earn in the Electronic Technology Certificate Program are transferable to the Electronic Engineering Technology Associate Degree.

The Manufacturing Engineering Technology program is designed to educate technicians in the manufacturing field. The program emphasizes mathematics and science courses to give students the knowledge to cope with changing technology. Course work incorporates the theory and practice of manufacturing from planning and layout through the operation and control phases. Extensive computer applications are part of the program including computer-aided drawing/modeling and computer-aided manufacturing. English and social sciences are taught as part of the program to broaden the student’s perspective and improve communication skills.

The Information Technology Tech Support Certificate Program consists of courses which provide students with core IT knowledge and technical support skills used in business and industry. Students will take courses in hardware/software, networking, database, Linux, Cloud Services and Windows Server. Students will also learn how to apply these skills in a tech support environment. Extensive hands-on training is provided in our computer and networking labs.

This program consists of two courses which form the common core of all IT curricula. It provides students with the basic hardware and software skills needed to obtain work in PC/Mobile repair, and entry level help desk positions.

This Certificate Program will provide you the opportunity to become a computer programmer/software developer and the credits you earn are transferable to the Computer Engineering Technology Associate Degree.

This is one IT certificate that is focused exclusively on networking, allowing students to develop a high level of expertise and to earn an industry recognized network certification.  The program consists of a progression of three courses, which can be taken day or evening.

Students will have the skills for jobs in Network and Computer Systems Administration and Information Security Analysis, and/or to continue their education, e.g. in NHTI’s Microsoft Servers Certificate program.

The dental hygienist is a key member of the professional dental team, providing educational and clinical services to community groups and individuals throughout the life span.You will learn to analyze health information, educate, and provide clinical services to improve oral and overall health.

Our program is designed for students that have completed an allied health associate degree or a bachelor of science degree. During our program you will obtain the knowledge and clinical skills to function in the medical community as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. When you graduate, you will be able to provide exceptional patient care while using sophisticated ultrasound instrumentation to perform medical imaging procedures. The images you create assist physicians in diagnosing various medical conditions throughout the body.

Health Information Management is a dynamic field and a growing profession. Coding professionals are trained specialists in classifying medical data and transforming diagnoses, conditions, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures into coded data that serve as the basis for local, regional, state-wide, national and world-wide comparison. Payment for medical care is contingent on the coded data provided by medical coding specialists. Employment opportunities include positions in hospitals, clinics, physician offices, nursing homes, insurance companies, and mental health facilities. Coding specialists work with the most current codes, medical information and reimbursement systems. These codes change on a yearly basis and ongoing training is required. Students will gain hands-on experience using 3-M Coding and Grouping software. The program provides students with the necessary tools to sit for the CCA exam.

Earning an associate degree in nursing (ADN) at NHTI is a great educational investment! Upon graduation, you are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN®). Our graduates’ first-time pass rate on the NCLEX licensing exam exceeds the national average. The LPN to RN Completion option is designed for the Licensed Practical Nurse who wishes to advance to a Registered Nurse with an Associate of Science degree to provide direct patient care in a variety of health care settings. The degree of Associate in Arts in Visual Arts will be awarded upon successful completion of the program. The Visual Arts program provides students the opportunity to acquire a thorough knowledge of the basic means of visual expression and broad exposure to the history of art in preparation for transfer into four-year colleges and universities and a career in the visual arts. The structured curriculum emphasizes visual perception, technical acuity and artistic philosophy geared toward developing a personal aesthetic.
