The Drafting Technology Program at Northwest College provides students with a comprehensive education that focuses on the correct use of state-of-the-art Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software. Coursework covers basic through advanced two-dimensional (2-D) and three-dimensional (3-D) CADD applications, through the effective use of individualized educational techniques. Students are exposed to a variety of drafting fields, including mechanical, architectural, structural, and civil drafting technology. Current drafting and related industry standards and techniques are covered in detail, in addition to building applicable work habits, logic, and skills. The program works well for students with disabilities, as customized computer workstations are available with adaptive equipment.

See DetailsThe Associate of Applied Science degree in Emergency Medical Services-Paramedicine program includes 65 credit hours that comprehensively prepares the Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians to advance to the next level of skill and career development to become a paramedic. The program is delivered in a hybrid fashion with didactic content occurring online, skill practice labs that occur face-to face in a block-fashion at the NWC Cody Center, and clinical experiences in emergency settings that are scattered across the NWC service area. The Paramedic program meets the requirement for candidates to be able to sit for the national exam to become a paramedic. This program provides the pre-requisites required to continue on for a Bachelor of Science, Community Paramedic, or potentially bridge to an RN program. In addition, at the end of the program, paramedic graduates will have their certification in Advanced Wilderness Life Support to function as a wilderness paramedic and able to function proficiently in expanded roles available in critical care areas such as the Emergency Room. Pre-requisites are current unemcumbered EMT-A license and an appropriate FISDAP score. For each of the EMT classes in the Emergency Medical Services-Paramedicine program, a “B-” or better is required to progress to the next semester.
