The program is designed to impart in-depth technical skills as required in today's highly technical automotive field. Preparation for employment in the automotive and/or transportation trades, with upgrading and specialization skills for those currently employed will be stressed. Emphasizes practical experience in actual repairs under simulated shop conditions.

Students will find employment in the broad spectrum of opportunities available in the construction industry. The program also provides continuing education for those already employed as contractors, site superintendents, project managers, estimators, and other areas related to construction.

Students will be taught the manipulative skills and the technical knowledge required to operate oxyacetylene, shielded electric arc, MIG, TIG, and semiautomatic flame cutting. They will be prepared for certification as required by employment in the welding industry.
