Most respiratory therapists are employed in acute care hospital settings. Long-term ventilator facilities, home care, and outpatient diagnostic laboratories offer other opportunities. This program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to complete the National Board for Respiratory Care exams for the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Practice requires state licensure in every state except Alaska.
