If you are interested in attending one of SAE Institute’s audio schools, you will have the option to enroll in the Audio Associate of Applied Science program. This program is an intensive practical and theoretical course of study that provides students with the knowledge and skills to shape audio design and creation. Students attending this audio engineering program learn both the technical and creative components of audio technology and design, in addition to key business principles of the entertainment industry. This is a hands-on, project-based program culminating in a major capstone project that draws upon the range of knowledge and skills learned throughout the program, and can be completed in as few as 16 months.

Students attending this program learn both the technical and creative components of film and video production and the business principles and practices of the entertainment industry. This is a hands-on, collaborative project-based program culminating in a major capstone project that draws upon the range of knowledge and skills learned throughout the program.

Students in the Digital Film Associate of Applied Science Program should learn to:

Demonstrate basic proficiencies with filmmaking equipment, software, and workflows.
Collaborate with others to effectively plan and execute a range of creative filmmaking projects.
Demonstrate creative and technical problem-solving ability.
Exhibit professional etiquette skills.
Demonstrate effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrate effective analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills, using the scientific method where appropriate.
