In Illinois, the student must attend a specified number of hours in clinical and theory satisfactorily. Once the student has passed the CNA class at Southeastern Illinois College, they can then sit for the competency exam to become a CNA.
This program prepares entry-level employment as a Pharmacy Technician. Pharmacy Technicians help Licensed Pharmacists dispense prescription medications. Employment may be available in a variety of settings, including hospitals, retail pharmacies, and outpatient care centers. This course is not payable by the PELL Grant unless it is a course required for a degree.

Students who satisfactorily complete HLTH 118 will receive a certificate of completion from the college, this alone does not give you certification. Students who have adequately finished the phlebotomy class may choose to become certified by taking an exam. Certification may be obtained by exam from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians or the National Healthcareer Association. If you choose to take a certification exam after completing the course, it will be your responsibility to schedule and pay for the exam you choose. If you have a prospective employer, you should contact them and inquire which certification they prefer. Employment is available in hospitals, clinics, and healthcare provider offices.

Upon completion, you’ll receive a certificate and be qualified to work for a veterinarian, animal clinic, animal hospital, groomer, kennel, pet shop or animal shelter. There are limited spots for this program, so register early! Veterinary assistants and laboratory animal caretakers are responsible for many daily tasks, such as feeding, weighing, and taking the temperature of animals. Other duties may include giving medication, cleaning cages, and providing nursing care before and after surgery and other medical procedures.

The courses are designed to train and educate students interested in using computers to assist with the design of products and parts. An understanding of CAD will benefit students with interest in architecture, agriculture, engineering, particularly civil engineering, carpentry and welding.
The skill set developed in the program will allow students to advance their knowledge and abilities to draw technical plans, help create visual concepts and develop overall layout and production designs. The well-equipped computer lab is updated and maintained for quality training and technical instruction with current software used in the industry.
