Students will learn to protect computers from hackers, secure wireless networks, protect computers from malware and identify security threats. Students will also learn how to secure residential, business computers, and fill the demand at public and private companies to address internet security concerns in today’s world. Students will prepare for the CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA CySA+ nationally recognized cyber security industry certifications. Program content includes but is not limited to foundational knowledge and skills in computer and network security, security vulnerabilities, attack mechanisms and techniques, intrusion detection and prevention, cryptographic systems, system hardening, risk identifications, incidence response, penetration testing, key management, access control, and recovery. The content includes an understanding of education in the United States, the ability to work effectively with all students, educational technology, lesson planning and implementation, classroom management, student assessment, communication skills, other skills needed to support the learning activities of students, rules and regulations within the Broward school system, and a review of the Broward County mandated ParaPro Assessment. Students will be assigned to a Broward County Public School for required internship.
View on provider's websiteAn EMT is trained to work as a member of an emergency medical team administering first aid treatment and transporting sick or injured persons to a medical facility. The Emergency Medical Technician program offers students the opportunity to become a certified Emergency Medical Technician. The Emergency Medical Technician program includes; theory, emergency room rotations, fire rescue ride time, handling of equipment, and performing designated tasks under hazardous and non-hazardous conditions. All applicants must meet with the program counselor to complete the required paper work prior to registering for the EMT program. Students must pass a Level II background check, drug screening and medical examination.

This program meets the requirements for certification as a firefighter set forth by the Bureau of Fire Standards and Training State Fire Marshal Office. Included in the Firefighter I & II Programs are the written and practical portions of the State Firefighters I & II Certification Examinations. This challenging program combines instruction (ladder usage, hose layout, hazardous materials, extrication and breathing apparatus) and field related activities.

Over the course of 10 months, our program will provide instruction in office procedures and practices specific to the legal field, legal terminology, transcription of legal documents, and business software applications that meet industry standards. The state-approved curriculum is delivered through in-class and on-line learning activities.
