We use these two phrases to describe jobs that require learning specific skills and working with your hands. This includes jobs in an array of industries, from healthcare and construction to information technology, manufacturing, public service and beyond. We focus on careers that don’t necessarily require a bachelor’s degree. But don’t get us wrong — we aren’t against bachelor’s degrees; we are for finding a rewarding career that’s in demand, pays well and doesn’t require training or education so expensive that you go into debt. Two ways: You can take the quiz to find a good match or explore our career pages. Each career page includes everything you need to know, including what the job is, the average salary, job openings, what training and education are required, FAQs about each career, and — in many cases — an interview with someone who does the job.

The career pages explain different training pathways to the career. At the bottom of each career page, you’ll see training options based on the ZIP code you type in. If you want more control, go to the training section of the website, select your industry and career, and explore what’s available near you with more filter options, such as distance from you and degree types.
